Gregorian Masses : Gregorian Masses are 30 Masses said at any altar for 30 consecutive days for the deliverance of a certain soul from Purgatory.

The pious practice of having these Masses celebrated for the deliverance of the souls from Purgatory was not first introduced by Saint Gregory the Great, who was sovereign Pontiff from 590 to 604, but precedes his time. However, they are called Gregorian Masses because St. Gregory contributed to the spread of this pious practice. In his Dialogues the Saint tells us that he caused to be said thirty Masses on thirty consecutive days for the repose of the soul of Justus, a monk who had died in the convent of St. Andrew in Rome. At the end of the thirtieth Mass, the deceased appeared to his brother, Copoosus, who had assisted him as a physician in his last illness, and announced that he had been delivered from the flames of Purgatory. 	Normal Masses : You can offer normal masses for the dead, for yourself, for the conversion of sinners, for your children, your family and friends, for the sick, the dying, for a happy occasion such as a baptism, a marriage, an anniversary, in thanksgiving, world peace etc.

	Perpetual Masses : If you want to express caring to friends and loved ones, expecially in times of need or sadness, Perpetual Masses will assure them that prayers, masses and good deeds are being offered for them for them continuously. When someone is enrolled Perpetual Mass enrollments or for a specific number of Masses that person will "share in all the Masses, prayers and good works" of the order to which the enrollment is maintained.

	You can offer Perpetual Masses at St. Paul's, Bandra, Mumbai. The cost is just Rs.60/- for an enrollment for one year.

	You can offer Gregorian Masses at the Cincentian Ashram, Mumbai. The cost is Rs.3,000/- (approx. US$ 62/-) or whatever rate thereof set by the Vincentian Ashram, for one set of Gregorian Masses. The poor Fathers utilize this money for missionary and charitable works in villages where extreme poverty rules.
